Fairgrounds
The Chaffee County Fairgrounds are located on County Road 120 (just off Highway 50) one mile west of downtown Salida, Colorado. The Fairgrounds are not visible from the highway, sitting on the ridge that runs along the north side between Poncha Springs and Salida.
Salida is the crossroads for the three state highways: U.S. 24, 50 and 285. Driving distances to Salida are: from Denver - approximately 130 miles; from Colorado Springs and Pueblo - 100 miles; from Gunnison - 60 miles; and from Fairplay - 50 miles. Click on the Maps page for maps of Salida and the Fairgrounds itself.

Camping
On-Site camping WITHOUT RV hookups is available at no charge on the Chaffe County Fairgrounds from Friday night through the following Thursday morning for REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY. A limited number of RV hookups are available at $10.00 per day on a first-come first-served basis. Because the camping area and hookups on-site are somewhat limited, you must obtain a Camping Permit tag from the Registration building by Friday afternoon for each tent, tow rig, RV or camper in your party.
Click on the Area Info. page for information on other campgrounds in the area.

Showers
Limited showers are available at the Fairgrounds for your convenience. No reservations are required.

Pets
Pets must be leashed at ALL times while on the Fairgrounds, including the camping area. Due to problems at previous events, pets will NOT be allowed inside any of the buildings. Salida animal control will be contacted to remove any animals that are not leashed.

There will vendors for lunch available on Saturday and Sunday by the large arena. There are several restaurants in Salida open for breakfast.
