SOME OTHER SUGGESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

• The damage you do to the environment depends to a great extent on how you drive. Always proceed with caution when facing unknown or difficult situations. Be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
• Always investigate any obstacle on foot first and have a spotter assist you over any difficult areas. 
• Always select the correct gears and speed for the situation using the minimum necessary to get the job done.
• Try not to over-use your brakes - let the engine and gears do the work of slowing your vehicle. 
• Never use the emergency brake to slow down, unless of course it really is an emergency. 
• Avoid any situation which may cause wheel-spin or locking your tires. Once this happens you have lost the ability to control your vehicle.
• Pay special care and attention when traversing slopes, water or ditches 
• Make sure your vehicle is equipped with appropriate tires for the terrain, and inflated to the correct pressure for the situation
